C. David Joffe, MD, FACC
Dr. C. David Joffe translated his strong belief in the value of maintaining a healthy heart into a busy medical practice that led to the founding of The Dayton Heart Center in 1992.
Dr. Joffe earned a medical degree from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine and completed his internship and residency at Boston City Hospital. Following two years in cardiology fellowship at Peter Bent Brigham Hospital, Boston and Mt. Sinai Hospital and Medical Center, New York, Dr. Joffe served as Chief of Cardiology and Director of the Non-Invasive Laboratory at Damall Army Hospital, Ft. Hood, Texas.
Dr. Joffe was instrumental in the 1999 founding of Dayton Heart Hospital where he continues to serve as Medical Director and Director of the hospital's catheterization laboratory. He is also a senior member of the Scientific Advisory Committee for MedCath, Incorporated, a North Carolina-based health care company affiliated with the Dayton Heart Hospital.
He is currently a Clinical Professor of Medicine at the Boonshoft School of Medicine at Wright State University. Dr. Joffe is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology and is triple board certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiology and Interventional Cardiology. He has served on the Board of Directors for the Beth Abraham Synagogue, Hillel Academy, Dayton Philharmonic Orchestra and the Dayton Opera.
