Dr. C. David Joffe translated his strong belief in the value of maintaining a healthy heart into a busy medical practice that led to the founding of The Dayton Heart Center in 1992. Dr. Joffe earned a medical degree from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine and completed his internship and residency at Boston City Hospital.

Joel H. Tobiansky, MD, FACC
A native of South Africa, Dr. Joel H. Tobiansky earned his medical degree from the University of Cape Town Medical School in Cape Town, South Africa. He completed his internship at Groote Schuur Hospital in Cape Town, and residency at Mount Sinai Medical Center in Cleveland.

Timothy D. Markus, MD, FACC
As a lifelong resident of the Dayton area, Dr. Timothy D. Markus is committed to improving the quality of cardiac care in Dayton and its surrounding communities. Dr. Markus earned his undergraduate degree and completed all of his medical training through Wright State University.

Sudhakar Maraboyina, MD, FACC
Dr. Sudhakar Maraboyina has enjoyed three successful, long-term practices in the greater Dayton area. First, he had his own private practice for 10 years; then joined with Dr. Enayatollah Tabesh for another 10 years. In 1994, he and Dr. Tabesh joined The Dayton Heart Center.

Amit Goyal, MD, FACC
Dr. Amit Goyal wants all patients of The Dayton Heart Center to understand peripheral vascular disease (PVD) and know that it can be successfully treated. PVD is a clogging of arteries in the arms, legs and even the brain that eventually blocks blood flow and leads to leg pain, numbness and other symptoms that many people dismiss as "a normal part of aging."

Gary J. Fishbein, MD, FACC
Dr. Gary J. Fishbein's belief in preventative care is consistent with the philosophy of The Dayton Heart Center. He places special emphasis on good nutrition and physical fitness. Dr. Fishbein graduated cum laude from the University of Rochester, New York.

Kevin D. Kravitz, MD, FACC
Dr. Kevin D. Kravitz brings a feature element to The Dayton Heart Center through his specialized practice of electrophysiology. Electrophysiology, a sub-specialty of cardiology, deals with the heart's rhythm and electrical system. Dr. Kravitz graduated from the University of Pittsburgh.

Mohammad H. Motekallem, MD, FACC
Dr. Mohammad H. Motekallem earned his medical degree from the University of Tehran, School of Medicine. Following a two-year service as a Second Lieutenant in the Iranian Air Force, he came to the U.S. and completed an internship at St. Anne's Hospital in Chicago.

Kamran Riaz, MD, FACC
Dr. Kamran Riaz brings a concentration in the use of echocardiography to The Dayton Heart Center. "Echocardiography studies can provide a physician more information about the patient's heart than any other single study," says Dr. Riaz. "Patients with narrow or leaky valves are particularly likely to have regular echocardiography studies."

Sameh N. Khouzam, MD, FACC
Dr. Sameh Khouzam will become very familiar to patients who live with pacemakers or implantable cardiac defibrillators (ICD's) due to his highly specialized interest and work with electrophysiology. Electrophysiology, a sub-specialty of cardiology, deals with the heart's rhythm and electrical system.

G. S. V. Ramanathan, MD, FACC
Dr. Ramanathan joined The Dayton Heart Center after enjoying over 16 years in practice in Bedford, Indiana. Through these years in private practice, he managed his patients' complete medical conditions. In addition to his private practice, Dr. Ramanathan also served in several leadership roles.
